At Lake Lowell Animal Rescue, we are all about sharing our journey - as well as each journey our animals take! Here are a few of our first success stories.
We have so many wonderful happy ending stories! We have to start however, with our first official kitty that was rescued from the lake here. His name is Fergus and he was a pretty sad guy when we found him. He had suffered a fractured pelvis and femur. It appeared from his x-rays that he had been in this condition for some time. It was winter and this poor guy had to attempt to survive this way and stay warm It simply broke our hearts! We were able to raise funds to have his injuries surgically repaired and he has gone on to live the best life IMAGINABLE with three doggie siblings.
This cutie named Cyril has Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This is a condition in which the part of his brain that controls balance and motor function is underdeveloped causing him to be a bit “wobbly” and uncoordinated. He doesn’t seem to know he is different however! He went through physical therapy to help him manage his condition and he is loving his life with his new mom and three “siblings.”
